Disc Golf Shopping is reviewing the Innova Ape to help provide valuable information to Disc Golf players. This disc is an extremely overstable Distance Driver and lets be honest, someone who can't throw far shouldn't even think of purchasing this disk. For you beastly disc golf throwers, an Ape was made especially for you. Read what the professionals say about this disc below.
Best Choice for: Headwind drives, Distance hyzers, Power sidearm
For a strong arm thrower, you will get excellent straight shot with a hard fade at end of the flight. It has less high speed turn compared to the popular disc, Innova Boss. This gives the Ape a straighter trajectory while in flight for fast throwing Disc Golf players.
For Beginners, or lower arm speed throwers, we have cautioned you multiple times, this disc is not for you! Since it's very overstable and flies straight at start for experts, unfortunately it tapers off almost immediately when thrown lightly and will go into it's fade of 4 rating immediately. You won't be happy if you purchase this disc; stick with those fairway drivers or low speed Distance Drivers!

Christian Dietrich - "The Ape is an overstable beast! Extremely fast. Great for max power forehand and headwind shots."
Steve Brinster - "The Ape has both distance and predictability even in the strongest winds."
Choosing the right disc is essential in having a great time outdoors playing Disc Golf on your local course or in a tournament. Utilize the flight ratings manufacturers and vendors provide to make more conscious decisions when purchasing your discs. It's overwhelming the amount of different choices manufacturers have provided and for good reason. Most backpacks can only handle 20 different discs, if you're a strong thrower, we recommend you utilize one of those spaces for the Innova Ape!
