The key to achieving lower scores playing Disc golf is never by max distance, but with Controlled Distance.  The Discmania CD3 gives you the Control needed but in the form of a Distance Driver.  Its ability to fly straight with some minimal fade at the end of the flight allows for beginners along with advanced players to find a great use for the Discmania CD3.  Some people question how an 11-speed disc can be considered a Controlled Driver, but let's just say Discmania found a way to do it!

Speed: 11   |   Glide: 5   |   Turn: -1   |    Fade: 2   |   PDGA Approved

Discmania CD3

Released in 2017, this disc is one of the newest additions to his the Discmania line-up before the launch of their new Evolution and Active lineups.  The previous disc was a huge success so it was inevitable for a successor to come.  Bringing the control and slightly more stability to a Control Driver and providing just a little more speed to round out the new disc.

The premium plastics normally are utilized in the distance/control drivers while mid-range and putters can get away with the baseline plastics.  Discmania finds themselves with currently not molding stock discs in the base plastics at the present moment, but it's very early on with this disk so nobody can tell the future.  Here are the currently available plastics to choose from:

While the Swirly S-Line was released, it's only for a limited time.  It hasn't seen massive buyouts so the run will likely finish selling and not be on the market again.  Potential different options in the future are bound to occur most likely in signature discs opposed to just special plastic runs.

Here is what Discmania has to say about the disc:

Good for: Long controlled drives, maximum distance drives, for advanced and pro players.

  • Diameter: 21.1 cm
  • Height: 1.6 cm
  • Rim Depth: 1.1 cm
  • Rim Width: 2.1 cm
