The PD2 by Discmania is a Distance Driver; also known as a Power Driver. This is due to the disc needs a powerful hand to throw due to the high Speed and Fade coupled with the low Glide and Turn. If a beginner throws the disc with minimal arm speed they will sadly see a meat hook into the ground. That said, advanced throwers with strong arms, this disc has been molded specifically for your already excellent traits! Pickup a PD2 today and see why there is all the hype around this disc.
Speed: 12 | Glide: 4 | Turn: 0 | Fade: 4 | PDGA Approved
This power driver is suited well for expert throwers trying to obtain more distance in a controlled fashion. The overstable disk will provide just that if you have enough arm strength to handle it. Excellent in the wind fighting all the way to the basket on the disc golf course.
While Discmania shocked the world in 2019 by having unfortunate news of discontinuing muliple discs and plastics, the PD2 got effected by no longer producing G-Line and Blizzard C-Line (lightweight). They still have a decent variety available as expert golfers have seen potential in the disc. Here are the current plastic offerings available to the public:
- C-Line PD2 - $13.99
- C-Line Liber-Tee Stamp PD2 (July 4th) - $14.99
- S-Line PD2 - $14.99
- G-Line PD2 (OOP) - $14.95
This disc is in the extreme for almost all categories as it's a very overstable fast distance driver. Very strong arm throwers will find the most success with the disk due to the high fade predictability. It's one of the #1 choice for Eagle McMahon and Simon Lizotte who are sponsored Discmania tour players.
Here is what Discmania says about the disc:
