The Discraft Meteor is an understable Mid-Range that provides more control and distance to beginner players.  Its ability to have controlled turnover throws is perfect for any newcomers trying out new throwing techniques.  Due note, lighter weighted discs will turnover easier than the max weights.  Even intermediate/experts have holes they truly need to fulfill in there bag and most of the time they lack an understable mid-range.  The Meteor is exactly the type of disc that fits this description.

Speed: 4   |   Glide: 5   |   Turn: -3   |   Fade: 1   |   PDGA Approved

Disc Golfers always want complete control over there discs at all times and the Meteor provides them with this due to its understable approach shots.  Your ability to shape shots and turnover them makes it a unique disc many players enjoy throwing.  A Meteor is a flaming ball soaring down from the sky; the Discraft Meteor I wouldn't say quite fits the description as it files more horizontally opposed to vertically!

Not the most popular mold in the Discraft arsenal, but it has been gaining momentum with all skill-levels to provide interesting shots to take they normally were unable to use.  For this reason, Discraft has opted currently do not have many plastic choices.  If and when the disc becomes more popular is when we will see additional plastic options, but for now, here are the currently available plastics:

Robert Leonard, a part of Team Discraft throws and bags the ESP as he can't find a better Mid-Range on the market.  He can throw many shot types and doesn't worry about it randomly hyzering or flipping over.  This disk is also his "one disc challenge" pick.  Another Team Discraft member, Kenneth Mize throws an ESP as well, but his glows (special edition).  In the woods, he breaks it out consistently due to the point and shoot type of disc it is.  In Michigan where he resides there are multiple courses that are wooded so it gets a lot of work in.

Here is what Discraft has to say about the disc:

The Meteor™ fits nicely into our midrange lineup next to the Comet™, and delivers steady, controlled turnovers with a lot of glide... even at slower speeds. Or release it at a seven o'clock angle for a nice smooth hyzer.
