The Discraft Sting is an understable Fairway Driver that was released in 2017 as the Ace Race disc.  It's got great glide that provides great distance for beginner disc golfers.  Crafted for easy control, the Sting does just this while throwing it down the fairway.  The minimal fade at the end of flight provides a super-straight flying experience any new-comer will surely enjoy.

Speed: 7   |   Glide: 5   |   Turn: -2   |   Fade:1   |   PDGA Approved

While Discraft's first reasoning for molding the Sting was for beginners, expert players have found great success with easy control.  Its minimal fade provides strong-arm throwers a very understable option they haven't seen success with prior.  Beginners still love the max distance they see from this disc without sacrificing accuracy.

PLASTICS AVAILABLE

This Fairway Driver has surely taken experienced disc golfers by surprise on its tremendous abilities.  With this, it's taken the course of premium plastics only as of right now by Discraft.  In the future we might see it's mold be used on more economic options, however, are the present moment, we don't have this option.  Here are the current plastic offerings for the Discraft Sting:

A Team Discraft member, Robert Leonard bags the ESP plastic of this disk.  He throws it with full power and provides a trustworthy hyzer flip in any weather conditions.  WIth slightly sell power it turns into a great slow anhyzer making it serve two functions.  A great disc for new players or an experienced player looking for a beat-in disc straight out of the box.  Andrew Presnell, another Team Discraft member likes the slower understable disc also for hyzer flip shots due to the tremendous amount of glide it provides.  If thrown hard by Andrew it becomes his roller disc and feels beginner players with low arm speed will adore it for straight shots.  Experts will find a variety of ways to shape shots and become a great utility disc.

Here is what Discraft has to say about the disc:

The global Ace Race evaluates a new Discraft prototype each year with the help of 20,000 testers, and last year the players were once again pleased with the results. The design goal was to create a disc that is easy to control, holds an almost perfect line on all throws, and fits comfortably in most hands. The Sting achieved all of this. Here's what the disc can do: Holds an almost perfect line on big throws Even new players can hold an anhyzer line with long glide Rip it for high-speed hyzer flip drives Delivers long flights to reach maximum distances
