The Discraft Undertaker was released in 2016 in the summer with an overstable flight. It offers some turn and at the end of flight tapers off to the left with the gradual fade. The Undertaker is excellent when throwing into a headwind and offers a great flight for forehand throwers. Paul McBeth has solidified the Undertaker as an excellent disc for forehand shots with his signature series being in the TI line.

Speed: 9   |   Glide: 5   |   Turn: -1   |   Fade: 2   |   PDGA Approved

Why has the Undertaker taken off as a go-to disc for so many disc golfers?  Many feel it’s there take on the Innova Thunderbird. The flight characteristics are extremely close to a Distance Driver, but is actually a Fairway Driver people can depend on with great stability.

PLASTICS AVAILABLE

Being a relatively new disc it’s surprising how many plastics the Undertaker has been produced in with such a short lifespan.  It shows the popularity of the disc and how well it’s flying everyone.

Nathan Skinner, part of Team Discraft uses the Z Fly Dye as his go-to fairway driver and has a well-seasoned disk.  His flips flat consistently turn and slowly hyzers back on every throw.  When looking for a straight long shot, the Undertaker is what's coming out of the bag.  Another Team Discraft member, Benjamin Stanton Callaway sports a Big Z and hasn't left his bag since the release.  The slightly stable disc provides him with a slight turn great for forest or straight tunnel shots.

Here is what Discraft has to say about the disc:

Most players have one versatile driver they reach for most often, and Undertaker is the new choice. This straight flier fills many needs for many different skill levels: it doesn't get flippy for power throwers, isn't hard to control for low-power players. Great glide, smooth finish, nice grip, big wins.

Who Bags the Discraft Undertaker

The one, the only, Paul McBeth bags currently 3 Undertakers in his bag.  One of them, the First Run Signature Series he pulls out more than not for straight flying shots.  The ability to keep a straight flight for over 400+ feet is hard to come by. This disc does exactly that for him, but what about people without his arm-speed?  Beginners find great comfort throwing this disc due to the stability.

The Discraft Undertaker is an excellent disc no matter your skill level.  If your searching for a little more overstable disc, go with one of the Elite Z lines, but for understable flights go with the Pro-D or ESP.
