The Discraft Magnet is a stable putter which acts magnetically towards those basket chains. It has become Discraft's flagship putter and used by many professional players due to its very narrow rim and stable flight path. The disc has a gradual fade at end of flight making it reliable on every throw. Knowing exactly what your disc will do is always a plus, but for putting it's a must.

It's widely known, one of the GOAT's of Disc Golf, Greatest of All Time started playing the game of Disc Golf putting with the Discraft Magnet. Yes, we're talking about Paul McBeth! He has since changed to different molds as they came available maybe because he's forced to or truly belives there better, but no question the Magnet was a stable disc that catapulted himself to the top of the game.
Discraft has tried to push the disc marketing it, but for some reason never found it's a way to being the most sought after disc. With Paul McBeth now being apart of Discraft (formerly Team Innova) this disc might find the hearts of Disc Golfers, but hopefully buyers are not confused as Paul McBeth does have a Putter, the Luna, however, this disc is heavily used as an approach disc and not thrown from within the circle as the Magnet is.
Being a putter, it takes a beating from all the chains and doesn't require a slick plastic-type to glide through the air well, if anything you want less glide when putting. For these reasons, Discraft has opted to only stock the Discraft Magnet in the lower grade plastics. Here are the current offerings:
A member of Team Discraft, CR Willey Jr uses the Soft plastic as a backbone to his putting game and approach shots. Anything under the 200 ft marks he will be breaking out this disk. He might be also attached due to multiple aces he has gotten throughout the years with the disc. Another Team Discraft member, Chris Hysell has been using the putter for over 20 years. The ability to work in any type of windy conditions has just made it reliable and consistent to throw.
Here is what Discraft has to say about the disc:
The Magnet™ is our flagship putter, and is used by thousands of seasoned disc golfers. Not too hard, not too soft... it goes in and stays in. This disc is excellent in the wind and makes a superb short range driver and approach disc.
