The Discraft Surge SS is a more understable of the popular Surge.  What's the difference from the two?  The SS has a straigher edge and is "Super Straight" that provides enhanced control.  It's a more beginner friendly option for players to easily get the max distance out of the disc with relatively light arms.  This disc is perfectfor forehand and backhand drives.

Discraft Surge SS

The Surge SS is a Distance Driver that's more stable than it's brother, Surge.  The SS standing for Super Straight or Super Stable provides an easier throwing experience for beginner players.  If the orginal disc was too much for you, grab the SS as it will be sure to fit your needs.

This disc hasn't taken off, but you might want to grab it off the shelf before Discraft discontinues it.  With all the new releases, the Surge seems to be fading, but has been a very popular disc in the past that might have the fate of dinosaurs and become extinct.  Here are the current offerings of the Surge SS:

  • Elite Z - $13.99

  • Diameter: 21.1 cm
  • Height: 1.6 cm
  • Rim Depth: 1.2 cm
  • Rim Width: 2.1 cm
