Primarily used as a distance driver, the Axiom Excite disc is understable and therefore meant for players with intermediate skill levels. This driver disc can conquer large distances with its high amount of glide and its exciting ability to hyzer-flip straight with little power input. The Excite disc exhibits a fairly straight flight pattern, but the amount of power put into the throw will dictate exactly how straight the flight is. Excite exhibits a high-speed initial flight phase, which angles inwards during the aerodynamic turn. As the spin decreases, the aerodynamic turn changes into the fade section of the flight, with the same direction of movement. At spindown, the disc pulls slightly out from the inward fade and ends up achieving more distance with an overall inward spin. The Axiom Excite is extremely responsive to power input and requires a moderate skill level before it can truly achieve its optimal flight pattern and distance. Disc golfers that are labeled as power throwers will easily access the panning, straight flights of the Excite, while other golfers may only see the straight flight with a slight fade pattern. The recommendation for this disc is to be throwing a solid 350 feet with your current driver before attempting to use the Axiom Excite to reach the 400 feet club.
