The Axiom Virus distance driver is the easiest disc to throw with an understable flight pattern. The elongated glide and responsive under stability keep the Virus floating down the course for longer. Disc golfers of all skill levels will love the adaptability of the Virus with its extended lines and gentle ending fade. The disc’s responsivity, range of weights, and an amazing selection of colors make the Virus an essential component of every loadout.

The Virus is an understable distance driver that is best suited for beginner to intermediate skill levels. Although it is the least stable of the Axiom line, it is still reliable enough to be comparable to a worn-in MVP Impulse. Golfers with a low to average power arm will obtain good distances on the course without too much flip or nose-diving. Power throwers will be able to use the Virus for a variety of skilled throws including tailwind launches, rollers, and long turnover shots with hyzer flips. Height manipulation is no problem for the Virus as it responds well to those high-flexing distance flights or low ceiling shots. The Virus’ initial phase of flight starts straight but quickly changes into an inward aerodynamic turn. The aerodynamic turn gently fades forward to provide a soft S-shaped overall flight pattern.
The Virus distance driver is made of double mold, premium plastics that feature Axiom’s signature beadless edge. The range of plastics available for the Virus disc includes Neutron, Eclipse, and Proton.
Neutron – Easily the most popular plastic, Neutron provides a quality aesthetic and texture while remaining durable. Neutron plastics are available in a wide variety of high-contrast colors that are dense and opaque.
Eclipse – Unique among the Axiom plastics, the Eclipse is a premium glow material that permeates the entire disc core. The rim on Eclipse discs comes in a variety of vibrant, opaque colors to provide contrast with the high visibility core. Eclipse plastic is extremely durable and will last for years.
Proton – The most durable plastic designed to withstand even the toughest conditions. Proton plastics offer enhanced visibility for night throwing and low-light conditions. You can expect a long and consistent life from your Proton plastic discs.
No matter which plastic you choose for the Virus, you’ll receive a sturdy disc that can easily be depended on to provide a consistent performance year after year. The tendency of the Virus to complete turnovers with a gentle forward fade makes it an excellent option for tailwinds or completing hyzer flip shots. We recommend you add the Virus to your loadout to complement the more stable drivers in the Axiom line, such as the Insanity or the Wrath. From ‘noodle’ arms to power throwers, the Virus adapts and responds to provide a reliable execution that is easy to love.
