The CD2 is considered a Controlled Driver made for Disc Golfers who want to stay on the fairway! Great Glide with a Distance Driver like feel will allow you throw substantial distance with the fight path reminding you of a common Mid-Range. The disc keeps it classy, not fancy by having a minimal turn and fade allowing for precision straight shots.
Speed: 9 | Glide: 5 | Turn: -1 | Fade: 2 | PDGA Approved
This disc was released in 2014 and surpassed expectations upon the release. It has been such a success that the original CD was pushed into retirement with the helpful updates to the disc. Just like the original, it's meant for all skill-levels with it being slightly more stable flight trajectory.
The current production line for this disk has been in premium plastics only. There have been some special editions sprinkled in but didn't catch any traction to become a stock run. Being a distance/control driver, premium plastics are normally thrown while putters/mid-range can get away with the baselines. Here are the current offerings for the disc:
A local for us, Dana Vicich had a special edition disc, the Roaming Thunder. This was in Swirly S-Line plastic that was highly sought after. There will be another release of the disc, as a version 2 the Data Vicich Roaming Thunder 2 (Swirly S-Line CD2) being released to the public some time in 2019 Q3/Q4. Lookout of this one as we feel it will go fast just like the first release.
Here is what Discmania has to say about the disc:
