The Discraft Banger GT is a slightly overstable putter with a straight flight. It has a unique feel with a groove on the top along with a large bead providing amazing gripping power. Many disc golfers use it for hyzer putting and for a putter it's not thick, but a relatively low profile. What does the GT stand for in Banger GT? Groove Top.

What does the GT mean in Banger GT? Grooved Top. Once you putt with this disc, you will not go back to another. The groove is not what you think of....it's not Innova! This is precisely placed to allow your hand the comfort and amazing feel for any throw/putt you place towards the basket. It's also accompanied by a large bead so players who like beadless, I'm sorry to say you won't enjoy the Banger GT.
PLASTICS AVAILABLE FOR THE Discraft Banger GT
Michael Johansen is on Team Discraft and uses this disc for his go-to shots under 300ft. While he doesn't use it for putting inside the circle, he loves the ability to place his thumb and create an exorbitant amount of spin along with velocity on the disc. He believes it's the best throwing putter on the market, but these statements were before the birth of the Luna. (Our favorite at least!) Currently, the disc hasn't gotten much traction and has only three plastic types. Here are the plastics available for the Banger GT:
Another member of Team Discraft, Brian Earhart believes this disc is the most under-rated putter for driving and putting in disc golf today. The ability for the disc to be thrown flat and hold any line is exactly what you want in any disc while the Banger GT provides a consistent slow fade at end of the flight. He throws it on all his backhands and occasionally upshots did forehand. Not only that, Brian uses the Banger GT for any putt within 80 ft of the basket as he prides his skill level and lower scores completely on switching to the Banger GT.
