The Discraft Buzzz OS is a Mid-Range disc suited for more powerful throwers.  It's for the stronger players where the original disc was just not enough.  When the wind picks up and your reaching for a Mid-Range, there is no question this is the one you should choose.  The overstability reigns supreme for many players as the disc glide suffers just slightly, but you can crank on the Buzzz OS as hard as possible without fear of the disc doing exactly what you want it to.

Speed: 5   |   Glide: 4   |   Turn: 0   |   Fade: 3   |   PDGA Approved

While players who know what the OS stands for, intermediate/experts will be drawn to the disc.  Beginners most likely won’t even know this is an overstable disc, but might still like it. If you have enough spin on the disc, it has a laser beam flight path everyone loves.  There is a pretty decent fade at the end of the flight. When throwing it at an anhyzer the disc will fight back to the flat, but not fade much more.

PLASTICS AVAILABLE

As a brother of the original, it’s hard to beat, but the OS has gotten a lot of attention and Discraft likes money, so they are crafting it in multiple plastics.  The only ones it currently is not in is Elite X. Here are the current offerings of the disc:

Wes Shinevar is apart of Team Discraft has finds the OS to be a great compliment to another disc he bags, the Wasp.  The flat-topped overstable midrange is perfect when throwing into a headwind and can handle his forehand shots.  Another member of Team Discraft, Jon Drummond also finds himself bringing the Buzzz OS to the course when the wind is picking up.

Here is what Discraft has to say about the disc:

The perfect complement to your Buzzz. When you're facing a headwind, need a straight shot with a hard finish, or want to use a forehand throw, Buzzz OS delivers success. Plus it's beadless; it feels like a Buzzz in your hand, lending a familiar confidence that comes with the Buzzz family of discs.

WHO BAGS THE Discraft Buzzz OS

The question is who bags the Discraft Buzzz OS?  The real question is who don’t bag it! While the original is better suited for the casual player, professionals truly adore this disc and it’s over stability in a mid-range.

Tim Barham is the Discraft Elite Team player that I think of when we talk about bagging the Discraft Buzzz OS.  He just loves the buzzz disc in general as he bags 3 midranges and you guessed it, the original, SS and OS! When he’s throwing at max power is when the OS is in use and gets the best flight paths out of it along with distance.
