Innova Discs Plastic Types

Star

Created with a special blend of grippy, resilient polymers, the Star Plastic has superior grip comparing to the Pro Plastic.  In addition it has excellent durability that's parallel to Innova's Champion plastic however is not as firm.  It will provide the highest performance in the field along with longevity to last you a lifetime.

MSRP: $17.99 - Our price: $13.99

StarLite

Using the same plastic as Star, but using proprietary technology called "blizzard" they allow small micro-bubbles inside.  This allows the disc to fill-up with small air pockets becoming less dense.  With this process they are able to get discs to weight in the ranges of 130-160 grams.

MSRP: $17.99 - Our price: $13.99

Echo Star

Innova created the same excellent grip and durability with an eco-friendly plastic.  It's made of 50% recycled processed plastic blended together with 50% of the high performance Star plastic.  We currently do not carry any Echo Star Plastics.

MSRP: $15.99

GStar

Blending mostly Star material with a special GStar plastic provides more grip and flexibility.  It has a pearlescent sheen which looks beautiful gliding in flight.  It's excellent for cold weather situations as the flexibility and grip won't be beaten.   Players who struggle holding onto their disc will be pleased with this plastic.

Champion

Another hi-tech plastic produced by Innova is the Champion Line. It has excellent durability along with excellent performance in the field and has a transparent look  Consistently used, this plastic will keep it's shape and perform the same as it did when it was first used. Stiffer than Star plastic, it's not as flexable and holds flight lines perfectly.  It was designed for professional disc golf players and flight ratings are slightly higher in speed, turn & fade.

MSRP: $16.99 - Our price $12.99

Metal Flake Champion

Using the same plastic as normal Champion plastic, they threw sparkling metal flakes into the disc.  It does not affect the flight, but looks amazing!

MSRP: $16.99 - Our price $12.99

Blizzard Champion

In the StarLite using the Bilzzard technology, it was first implemented on Champion plastics.  Using the same proprietary technology, they are able to bring discs down to 130 grams.  The microbubbles in the disc do not affect flight except make it lighter and glide farther.  Disc models under 135 grams float in water.

Champion Plastic Summary

  • Ultra-durable
  • Wears slowly retaining flight characteristics
