The Discraft Crank is a Distance Driver that surely plugged a few needed holes in their line-up.  It’s a fast stable driver that is great for strong-arm throwers looking for a more stable option. It’s in between the Nuke and Nuke SS comparing flight paths as intermediate players will still find a great use for it and you can really Crank it!

Speed: 13   |   Glide: 5   |   Turn: -2   |   Fade: 2   |   PDGA Approved

This disc took off very fast as in the AM World Championships it was part of the player's pack so it was placed in many players' hands immediately.  The disc feels like a mixture of the Nuke and Force combined however in Discraft’s flight charts they have the stability between a Nuke and Nuke SS.  The 14 speed provides some massive distance but the tradeoff is the ability to park shots with ease.

PLASTICS AVAILABLE FOR THE DISCRAFT Crank

Ah, it’s wonderful when a disc gets popular as Discraft realizes it and provides the public with every single plastic mold imaginable for it!  We're still looking for a signature disc, but it’s sure to come in the future as the Crank has gotten great reviews all around from advanced players and beginners.  Here are the current offerings for the Discraft Crank:

A member of Team Discraft, Tyler Grady is a distance driver who is his favorite when he needs a disc to bend around an obstacle.  The very understable driver goes very far when thrown right.  Another Discraft member, Michael Johansen adores throwing the ESP Crank.  It's the disc he pulls out for his long-distance drives.  With it being a smaller rim disc, he finds it easier to grip in the hand allowing for easier distance.  It's very fast and provides great glide down the fairway.  One of the best distance drivers to utilize in the woods.  It's also great for not skipping off the course into OB.

DIMENSIONS

  • Height: 1.5 cm
  • Diameter: 21.2 cm
  • Rim Depth: 1.1 cm
  • Rim Width: 2.3 cm

WHO BAGS THE DISCRAFT Crank

So obviously there are many people out there already having their hands on the Crank, but are there any professional players that utilize the Discraft Crank in there bag at the Disc Golf Pro Tour Series Tournaments?  Absolutely, Paul Ulibarri is the one that comes to mind. It just makes sense as we said the Crank reminds people of the Nuke and Force. Well, you guessed it, Paul Ulibarri bags those two discs as well!

The Discraft Crank is a wonderful addition for Discraft as it’s a disc suited for all skill levels and provides the fast speed and great glide all players.  It’s not a disc that moves around much with a Turn of -2 and Fade of only 2. You can put all the effort in the world into the disc and if it’s an accurate throw will be placed perfectly.  Players have already coined the expression, “You can really CRANK on this disc!”
